Chamomile Dream | Sangria

Iced Chocolatea

Serving: 1 person

Ingredients:

  • 6 Ounces of Black tea or Rooibush
  • 1 Teaspoonful of Cocoa powder
  • 2 Spoonful of Sugar
  • Ice cubes

We recommend these teas to be used:

  • Tiramisu
  • Macademia Bourbon
  • After Dinner Mints
  • French Vanilla Tea
  • English Toffee

Preparation Methods:

  1. Steep 1 teacup (about 6 ounces) of black tea/rooibush.
  2. During the 3 minutes or so while the tea is steeping, mix together in a small bowl or cup, the cocoa powder and the sugar.
  3. Stir in enough cold water to make a thin paste.
  4. Remove tea leaves and pour steeped tea into a tall glass.
  5. Stir cocoa paste in, then fill the glass ¾ full with cold water and stir again. Add ice cubes and enjoy!

Moroccan Iced Mint Tea

Serving: 6-8 servings

Ingredients:

  • 6 tablespoons of Moroccan mint tea
  • 1/4 cup sugar or alternative sweetener
  • 8 cups of boiling water
  • ice

Preparation Method:

  1. Add the tea leaves and sugar.
  2. Pour the boiling water over the leaves, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  3. Set aside to steep for five minutes.
  4. Strain the infused liquid into another pitcher.
  5. Stir in the whole mint leaves the cover and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Place several ice cubes into tall glasses and pour minted tea, along with a few mint leaves, over the ice. Serve immediately.

Chai Naya (a popular Russian beverage that combines tea and vodka)

Serving: about 2 cups

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of good quality vodka
  • 5 to 6 teaspoons of fruit flavoured loose leaf black tea
  • 1 or 2 clean, dry, glass bottles or jars with tight fitting lids

We recommend these teas to be used:

  • Hermitage Blend
  • Russian Caravan
  • Earl Grey Crème
  • Strawberry Cream
  • Cranberry
  • Peach Melba

Preparation Methods:

  1. Combine vodka and tea leaves in the bottle or jar.
  2. Shake gently a few times.
  3. Let the misture rest at room temperature away from direct sunlight for 24 hours.
  4. Strain the mixture rest through a fine mesh tea strainer into the second bottle jar.
  5. Do not rinse out the bottle or jar because you don’t want to add water to the mixture.
  6. Store vodka mixture in your freezer, it should last indefinitely. Serve in small glasses without adding ice.

Tea of Serenity

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of Fruit Tea
  • Fruit Sorbet (any flavours) or Vanilla Ice Cream

We recommend these teas:

  • Very Berry
  • Pina Colada
  • Queen’s Tea
  • Ceylon Nuwara Eliya
  • Golden Kenya Milima
  • Breakfast Tea
  • Earl Grey

Preparation Methods:

  1. Brew 1 tablespoon of tea in 2 cups of boiling water.
  2. Steep for 10 minutes and strain over ice or chill for 4 hours.
  3. Pour tea over Fruit Sorbet or Vanilla Ice Cream. Serve.

Chamomile Dream

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of Roman Chamomile
  • Apple cider/juice

Preparation Methods:

  1. Brew tea in 2 cups of boiling water. Steep for 10 minutes.
  2. Strain over ice or chill for 4 hours.
  3. Mix tea with equal parts of apple cider/juice.

Sangria

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of loose leaf tea/Gourmet iced tea (loose tea)
  • -Cranberry Juice/Blackcurrant Juice

We recommend these teas:

  • Very Berry
  • Jungle Rumba
  • Forest Berry
  • Wild Passion

Preparation Methods:

  1. Brew tea in 2 cups of boiling water. Steep for 10 minutes. Strain over ice or chill for 4 hours.
  2. Mix tea with Cranberry or Blackcurrant juice.
