Matcha Yoghurt Drink | Salthy Dog Matcha | Sencha w/ Vodka & Lime

Matcha and Banana Shake

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp matcha
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 banana
  • Honey to taste

Preparation:

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a blender to make this breakfast drink.
  2. Add ice to taste if desired.

Matcha Float

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp matcha + ½ cup hot water
  • 5-6 ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup cold milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
  • Syrup or low calorie sweetener, to taste

Preparation Methods:

  1. In a tall glass, mix the matcha and hot water, and stir briskly until the paste becomes smooth.
  2. Add the ice cubes and pour the milk slowly over them.
  3. Top with ice cream. Add some syrup or sweetener if you wish. Serve with a long spoon.

Matcha Fruit Bavarios

Ingredients:

  • 30g Powdered gelatin
  • 4 Tbsp water
  • 3 egg yolks
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1¼ cups milk
  • 1 Tbsp matcha
  • 1 Tbsp brandy
  • 1 cup fresh cream
  • Strawberries, canned peaches, grapes, or any fresh fruit
  • Syrup to taste

Preparation Methods:

  1. In a bowl, mix the gelatin and water, place the bowl in a pan of hot water, and mix until the gelatin dissolves.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and salt, and stir until the mixture turn whitish.
  3. Heat the milk in a small pan until it is lukewarm.
  4. Mix the matcha and 2 tablespoons of lukewarm warm milk and stir briskly until the paste becomes smooth. Set aside.
  5. Add the rest of the milk to the egg yolks and cook over low heat, taking care not to let the milk boil as the yolks will harden. Remove from the heat and cool slightly.
  6. Add the gelatin, matcha paste, and brandy to the milk, and mix. Place in a large bowl of iced water to let it cool.
  7. Lightly whip the cream and fold into the mixture. Pour into individual glasses and refrigerate until set.
  8. Serve garnished with your favourite fruit and syrup.

Matcha Latte

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/3 tsp matcha + 3 tsp hot water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp honey

Preparation Methods:

  • Mix the Matcha and hot water in a cup, and stir briskly until the paste becomes smooth.
  • Heat the milk and honey over a low flame, taking care not to let the milk come to a boil. Combine with the matcha paste and stir well until blended.

Matcha Yoghurt Drink

Ingredients:

  • 1tsp matcha + 2 tsp hot water
  • 3-4 ice cubes
  • ½ cup plain yoghurt
  • ½ cup cold milk
  • Sugar to taste

Preparation:

  • In a large glass or cup, mix the matchs and hot water and stir briskly until the paste becomes smooth. Add the ice cubes.
  • Combine the yoghurt, milk and sugar, and stir until well blended.
  • Pour into a glass and stir well.

Salthy Dog Matcha

Ingredients:

  • juice of half a grapefruit
  • 2 Tbsp vodka
  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • 3-4 ice cubes
  • ½ tsp matcha

Preparation Methods:

  1. Squeeze the grapefruit to extract the juice. Moisten the rim of a glass with the rind and dip rim in salt. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  2. Place the grapefruit juice, vodka, and matcha in a cocktail shaker, and shake until well mixed.
  3. Pour over the ice cubes and serve immediately.

Sencha with Vodka and Lime

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp mizudashi sencha
  • ¾ cup water
  • 2 Tbsp gin or vodka or to taste
  • 1 slice lime

Preparation Method:

  1. Make the Sencha by adding the cold water and letting it sit several minutes until the flavour is released.
  2. Mix with either gin or vodka in any ratio you like, and serve with a slice of lime.
